WHO are you?! what do you want?!

-a line from almost every horror movie ever made

I have been an avid horror movie fan since watching Jaws in Grandma Betty’s living room circa ‘93ish. From that moment on, most of my “firsts" with scary movies & TV started in that living room. I’ll never forget being terrified of going to bed in Harrisburg, PA -- afraid Ghostface might get me after watching it in the pitch dark. I became more obsessed with horror films when I was introduced to Michael Myers. The Halloween franchise became my whole personality. Jaws is still my all time favorite film, but Jaws does not have final girls.

Final Girls defeat the boogeyman...they survive & they are the last ones to tell the story.

Originally from New York, and having spent 2 years in Portland, Oregon, I landed in Wisconsin in 2011. I always felt a little unwelcome or uneasy in bars and restaurants, either as an employee or a guest. I wanted to fit into the Milwaukee service industry so badly, I shoved those emotions deep down and, unfortunately, normalized certain behaviors. However, I could only normalize other people's behaviors for so long. I thought pivoting my role in the industry would help with this, and I tried my hand at sales.

In 2023 I landed my dream job, or so I thought. Within a few months I found myself actively avoiding territories/accounts for my mental health. It started to affect how I felt about the job, myself, my purpose on this planet, and I became very angry and depressed. I was angry that the job wasn’t working out, I was angry that I was still being treated the same way as before. I was angry that my female friends and coworkers ALL had a story of how they’ve been spoken to inappropriately or propositioned and sadly, it’s normalized. It reached its breaking point within me and that's when it clicked...

I had to be the change that I wanted to see in the service industry.

And The Final Girl concept was born. I am set out to undo what’s been shown to me as standard, defeat the Boogeyman, and make way for a new era of young, fresh, innovative minds in the service industry.

So welcome to my horror-themed safe space for all to hang out, relax (or be terrified), and drink some damn good drinks and eat some damn good food! And what's even better is

we focus on women & Minority owned beer & Spirits and you won't find any celebrity tequilas.

Why Kenosha? I fell in love, what can I say? My last job was 95% travel and one fateful day we visited Kenosha and essentially in that moment my whole life changed. I found myself coming to Kenosha more and more and the wheels started spinning to open The Final Girl in a city that made me feel so welcome. I am excited to be a part of the community and cannot wait to share my dreams with everyone.

Yes, it's an inclusive bar -- everyone's invited *ah hem* women, queens, lgbt, the theys, the gays, all walks of life, men in touch with their emotional side, tequila drinkers, artists, horror fans, lovers of food…the list goes on…

What is not invited is ignorance, bigotry, hate speech, and general harassment.

In the midst of nostalgia and the struggle to find solace in the service industry, I find myself at a turning point. From Grandma Betty's living room to the streets of Kenosha, my journey has been filled with fear and frustration, but also with determination to create a space where everyone is not only welcome, but valued.

I invite you to join me in a place where horror meets hospitality, where every drink and every meal is served with inclusivity and respect. Whether you're a horror fan, a foodie, or simply seeking refuge, know that within these walls, you're part of a community built on acceptance and respect.

Welcome to The Final Girl, where intolerance meets its match.

our partners in crime (& Food)

Our food menu is provided by my best friends at Fox Den, Sherrilynn and Jake. But aside from partnering with The Final Girl, they also operate a restaurant inside Great Lakes Distillery, in Milwaukee. So, needless to say... they don't have a lot of time to write a cute bio. So, you can read about them via this article by Milwaukee Record.
